Biography

Michaela Winter was born in Germany in 1966. She holds a law degree and worked for the federal government for about 20 years. In 2010, she radically changed her almost perfect life.

Michaela studied art and started to look for her sense in life. When she learned intaglio printmaking, everything fitted, and she found a way to express herself.

With her artistic works, she creates a space for perception and awareness, focusing on shapes and chaotic/organic structures. Fascinated by diversity instead of editions she makes - one of a kind - prints. She uses the almost unlimited possibilities of the printing process, combining her plates, colors, color viscosity and papers.

Working and living in Denmark, Michaela exhibits in Europe, the United States, and Asia. Her works are in public and private collections.
