I am fascinated by chaotic/organic structures and shapes.
For me, these are documented nature and life and express the 'Sein' and the connections. Recreating these is my way of controlling the chaos of life, aiming to
compose a space of perception and awareness.
My - one of a kind - intaglio prints are the result of
-
cut and filed base material (mostly copper or zinc) creating the shapes for the printing plates,
-
chaotic/organic structures made on these plates with all kinds of intaglio techniques, including etching, drypoint, aquatint, sugar lift, and/or open bite
and
-
the combinatoric use of the almost unlimited magic possibilities of the printing process, combining my plates, colors, color viscosity, and papers.
